He Sees Us

The story of Jesus healing the blindman is one that shows the kind of love God has for each one of us. It is a story that gives us a glimpse of the kind of care and compassion Christ shows to those who are unable to experience the freedom that comes with being able to see clearly.  The great physician Jesus gives us an example of the kind of bedside manner that we would expect when we visit our doctor for example. We would hope that there would be compassion and patience shown to us. We would expect that our doctor would make sure that our questions are answered. Most of all we want to know that there is a clear path toward healing. No matter how long it takes. Mark 8:25 says, "Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly."

My prayer for you during this Lenten season is that you will experience the healing touch that comes from the great physician, that will allow you to see everything clearly. As we walk the journey to the cross, with Christ, we pray that we would experience the love that God shows all of us and most of all the love that was shown to us on the cross.

Continue to pray for our Interim Pastor Search Committee. Pray for wisdom, direction, and clarity.
